About

Your Corner Pediatrics

We understand the frustration of having a sick kid at home on a work day or having a question about your newborn and not getting an answer as quickly as you would like. As busy working moms, Elizabeth and Katie were looking for a better way to help parents get more convenient access to their child’s healthcare. We found the answer in direct primary care and started Your Corner Pediatrics! We are a membership-based pediatric primary care office. For an affordable monthly fee, our patients have direct access to us at all times, whether it is for a quick question, an acute concern, or a full visit. We offer extended visits that are always on time and never rushed. No crowded waiting rooms, no copays, no hidden costs. We are here when you need us, that could include a visit to our office, a visit at your home, a text message or a video chat! We focus on QUALITY care for patients rather than QUANTITY of patients. We have a limited number of patients to ensure we are always available for your child’s medical needs.

We Know Parents Are Busy!

We want to help you! We want to provide convenient and accessible care. Though we pride ourselves in our thorough detailed visits, not all questions or concerns need an in-office visit. With Your Corner Pediatrics, you can get answers and recommendations directly from your provider while you are at work, waiting in the school pick-up line, or getting your oil changed. Your child’s health is important and your time is valuable. Your Corner Pediatrics helps join the two, so you don’t have to compromise either one. We want to provide invaluable peace of mind, knowing your kid’s provider is a text or phone call away when something comes up. No need to wait through complicated phone trees to get a generic response from an answering service. No need to go to urgent care on the weekends or pull your children out of school just to get your questions answered at an appointment. We are available when you need us and where you need us.

Our goal is for all of our patients and their families to feel like they have access to someone who is in their corner.

About

Elizabeth Bowen, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC

I am an east coast native that moved to the midwest in 2012. Since my arrival I have been providing care for children in the Indianapolis area in multiple different settings such as the neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric sleep medicine, and pediatric primary care setting. I graduated from Indiana University with my Masters of Science in Nursing and am certified through the Pediatric National Certification Board. I have made it a goal to provide the highest level of care for patients and their families. I love the ability to get to know my patients and families on a deeper level, and that ultimately led me to open Your Corner Pediatrics. I wanted to be able to have more time with each patient/parent and not be limited by the constraints of the traditional healthcare system. My goal is to have every patient and parent leave my office feeling heard, seen, and fully taken care of. I want every patient and their family to know I am always in their corner- no matter the concern, day, or time. I have a very strong passion for sleep as well as integrative care- both of which are often neglected in traditional primary care offices due to time constraints.

When I am not in the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my husband, 2 young children, and my “zoo” (golden doodle, 3 cats, and pond with koi and bullfrogs). I am also an avid reader, concert seeker, nature lover, and traveler.

About

Kathryn McGovern, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC

Most everyone knows me as Katie. I grew up on the southside of Indianapolis and graduated from Indiana University with a Masters in Science of Nursing. I am board certified by the Pediatric National Certification Board. I have been working in pediatrics from the intensive care unit to primary care for over 20 years.

I truly enjoy working with patients from newborns through adolescence and desire to help every member of the family thrive. In my previous work experience, I recognized the traditional system’s disconnect between the providers treating acute and chronic illnesses and their patients. As a busy parent, with three kids, I wanted to make it easier for parents to get answers from their healthcare providers. I know how frustrating it can be to wait on answers and responses.

I love living on the near Northside of Indianapolis. My husband and I stay busy running around to lots of kids sports and staying active in our neighborhood and school communities. Outside of caring for our three children, I also enjoy walking our English Bulldog and our Wheaten Terrier, playing tennis and hanging out with friends.
